Saudi Arabia donates $300,000 to UN anti-terror office

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has extended $300,000 in financial support to the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the UN, Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, delivered a cheque to Vladimir Voronkov, the office’s undersecretary, at the UN headquarters in New York.

Al-Wasel expressed Saudi Arabia’s appreciation for the center’s role in combating extremism and terror.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s determination to proceed with efforts to “wipe out the phenomenon regionally and internationally.”
