JEDDAH: The Saudi Literature, Publishing & Translation Commission will organize the first Digital Publishing Conference in the Kingdom. The event will take place at the Jeddah Superdome as part of the events of the cultural program of Jeddah International Book Fair 2022.
The conference includes seven panel discussions, two workshops and two sessions of book talks, bringing together Saudi and international experts and speakers.
It will discuss key issues in digital publishing, qualitative and creative initiatives, the best practices in marketing, distribution and intellectual property rights of books in the digital publishing market, digitalizing children’s books and digital publishing techniques.
During the sessions that will be held for one day, participants will discuss a variety of topics, including creating opportunities and addressing learning challenges through digital publishing, and reviewing the most prominent new technologies in e-reading.
The conference will also include a session titled “How does a smart personal assistant change our way of reading? It will also highlight digital content marketing platforms and self-publishing opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Meanwhile, workshops will discuss the process of audio production of books, and ways to strengthen the relationship between authors and book retailers.
The digital publishing conference is an opportunity to keep pace with international developments in the creative field amid the accelerating growth of the digital publishing market in the Arab world and globally.
