RIYADH: The Saudi Theater and Performing Arts Authority has completed a theatrical professional training program in Jeddah, with 126 trainees taking part, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The three-month program aimed to equip participants with the skills needed to work professionally in the fields of performance and theatrical representation.

It is part of the authority’s skills initiative, which supports professional development in the Kingdom’s theater sector, as well as developing Saudi talent through short and advanced virtual and in-house training programs.

The program included two levels for beginners and professionals, and four training workshops on theater acting, employing theatrical masks, vocal performance and creating content.

Lebanese actress and director Nidal Al-Ashqar led the program along with a team of academics specializing in motor, vocal and performance skills.
