RIYADH: A Spanish media delegation visited the headquarters of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action in Riyadh on Thursday.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the center’s humanitarian efforts, amounting to 2,120 projects implemented in 86 countries around the world, of which Yemen had the largest share.
Efforts are directed toward various sectors including food, health, education, accommodation and environment, in cooperation with 175 international partners regionally and locally.
Some of its projects include the rehabilitation of child soldiers, the Masam project to clear Yemeni lands of Houthi mines, and the installation of prosthetic limbs.
The official spokesman for the center, Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, gave a visual presentation to the delegation, highlighting the various relief projects provided by the Kingdom through the center.
The Spanish delegation expressed its admiration for the Kingdom’s efforts and the prestigious international reputation that Saudi Arabia enjoys in the field of humanitarian work.
