DUBAI: By now, it is fair to expect a level of secrecy around projects from Marvel Studios. However, “Moon Knight” star Oscar Isaac has all but confirmed that the superhero will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though the details are being kept under wraps.

During an interview at New York Comic Con, Isaac declined to confirm whether or not Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight,” which is set in Egypt and borrows heavily from Egyptian lore, would be returning for a second season on Disney+, but instead said, “All I can say is that it’s not the last we’ve heard of the system that is Moon Knight.”

Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight” premiered on streaming platform Disney+ on March 30. The series stars Isaac as Marc Spector, a mercenary with Dissociative Identity Disorder who also serves the Egyptian deity Khonshu as masked vigilante Moon Knight.

Despite no official announcement about a second season, there have been numerous murmurs from the cast and crew alluding to the character’s return.
