TASI starts the week higher as traders watch the market: Opening bell

RIYADH: The Saudi main index started the week higher on Sunday after wrapping September with a loss of 7 percent on recession fears.

The Tadawul All Share Index started the week with a 0.17 percent increase to reach 11,424, while the parallel market Nomu started almost flat at 19,883, as of 10:08 a.m. Saudi time.

Saudi oil giant Aramco started with a 0.14 percent decline, while Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. edged down 0.44 percent.

The Saudi National Bank, the Kingdom’s largest lender, started flat, while Saudi British Bank increased by 0.95 percent.

The Kingdom’s most valued bank Al Rajhi fell 0.12 percent, while Alinma Bank gained 0.69 percent.

Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. increased by 0.95 percent, after it signed SR166 million ($44 million) agreement with Italian-based Toscotec for a raw tissue paper roll production line.

Retal Urban Development Co. dropped 2.40 percent, after its shareholders approved a cash dividend of SR2 per share for the first half of 2022

Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co. declined 0.81 percent, after the company and UK-based WPP plc postponed their merger agreement until Oct. 31, 2022.
