RIYADH: Saudi Arabia issued 531 industrial licenses during the first seven months of the year, attracting SR14 billion ($3.72 billion) worth of investments, the latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources revealed.
This comes as 743 factories started production during the same period, with investments amounting to SR20 billion, according to the ministry’s monthly bulletin for July.
The bulletin also indicated that the industrial sector during the same period provided more than 26,000 job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the volume of total investments in the industrial sector until July reached SR1.4 trillion while the total number of factories reached 10,685 factories.
