JEDDAH: The secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hissein Brahim Taha, led a high-level delegation on Saturday to participate in the work of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
The OIC chief is expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders and presidents of member states and officials of regional and international organizations, on the sidelines the UNGA session.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, the OIC will hold the annual coordination meeting at the level of foreign ministers, in addition to the meetings of the OIC six-member committee on Palestine, the Contact Group on Muslims in Europe, the Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, and the Contact Group on the Muslim Rohingyas in Myanmar.
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit is also participating in the UNGA session. He will take part in a number
of activities and high-level meetings designed to discuss issues related to Arab priorities in the political, economic and social fields.
