Six fashion and design schools in the Middle East

Over the last decade, the Middle East has seen a vast influx of fashion and design schools, including this week’s opening, the Istituto Marangoni from Milan.

  • Istituto Marangoni

    The newly-opened branch of the 88-year-old Italian design school opened its doors in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) this week, providing courses in fashion, interior and product design.

  • Creative Spaces

    The Beirut-based school offers a three-year fashion degree to students from underprivileged backgrounds and classes are taught by highly-qualified Lebanese and international designers.

  • Lebanese American University

    The highly-popular four-year BFA in Fashion Design course was created in 2013 in collaboration with leading designer Elie Saab and the London College of Fashion.

  • ESMOD

    A Dubai-based branch of ESMOD France, a fashion design and business school first launched in 1841, the school offers an undergraduate degree in Fashion Design and Creation and specialization opportunities in couture fashion.

  • Casa Moda Academy

    The Morocco-based public-private school offers diplomas in fashion design and styling, creative industrial modeling and fashion merchandising.

  • Istituto di Moda Burgo

    First established in 1961 with its main branch in Rome, the Italian school boasts branches in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and Egypt, offering various design-related courses in partnership with local schools.
