RIYADH: “Last Light,” a five-part series produced by MGM International TV Productions in association with MBC Group, Peacock, Viaplay Group, and STAN, is being released in the Middle East and North Africa region exclusively on Shahid VIP.

The five-part TV thriller, based on Alex Scarrow’s international best-selling novel of the same name, launched on Shahid VIP on Friday.

Directed by Dennie Gordon and starring Matthew Fox, Joanne Froggatt, Tom Wlaschiha, Alyth Ross, Taylor Fay, Victor Alli, and Amber Rose Revah, the series explores what would happen if the world’s oil supply was disrupted.

The show also features Saudi actors Hakeem Jomah and Aziz Gharbawi. Parts of it were shot in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al-Ain, an experience Fox told E! News was “mind-blowing” and “incredible.”

He said: “I was so excited for that portion of the shoot. I couldn’t wait to see those landscapes and they did not disappoint.”

Gordon directed all episodes of the series, which was executive produced by Gordon, Fox, William Choi, Sydney Gallonde, Rikke Ennis, Patrick Renault, Diego Piasek, Patrick Massett, and John Zinman, co-executive produced by Rola Bauer and Steven Johnson, and produced by Veronika Lencova.

“Last Light” is now available on Shahid VIP.
