RIYADH: The Future Investment Initiative Institute on Thursday announced the sixth edition of its flagship event will be held in Riyadh between Oct. 25 and 27.
Speaking to Arab News, Rakan Tarabzoni, chief operating officer of FII, said: “Investing in Humanity is going to be our slogan,” adding that the subtitle will be “Enabling a New Global Order."
“We always like to be an open forum to discuss all the pressing issues on a global level and have put them on the table,” he added.
It also confirmed that its upcoming summit, PRIORITY, will be held in New York on Sept. 22 on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
The two events aim to bring together experts and policymakers to discuss pressing global issues and challenges.
The events will serve as platforms aimed at finding solutions to different issues the world is facing today.
Speaking at a press briefing, Richard Attias, CEO of the FII Institute, said that more than 40 speakers will take part in the New York-based summit, including Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the chairman of FII Institute, former Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning-Schmidt, former Prime Minister of Bhutan Dasho Tshering Tobgay, UAE’s Minister of State for Youth Affairs Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al-Mazrui, Judith Rodin, the president Emerita at the University of Pennsylvania and others.
Attias said the institute is conducting a global survey to find out the top priority of individuals across a broad range of demographics, with results planned to be revealed at the PRIORITY summit.
“As the world is witnessing a period of transformation and as a new global order starts to take shape, we believe it is crucial to understand the priorities of each demographic group around the world,” he said.
“Over the past two years, the world faced many challenges that have left an impact on all citizens across the globe. Therefore, our values and priorities have changed.”
During the press briefing, the FII Institute unveiled a new website, upgraded the existing content library to make it more accessible, while providing a space for partners and contributors to share case studies.
