RIYADH: Portuguese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Nuno Matias recently visited the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.

Running from Aug. 25 to Sept. 3, the annual falcon exhibition will allow breeders to display their finest falcon specimens, with over 40 leading farms from 17 countries participating in the auction.

The ambassador toured the exhibition, which includes more than 25 pavilions. He was briefed on the Saudi Falcons Club’s efforts to preserve Saudi cultural heritage, raise environmental awareness and ensure the continuation of falconry as a hobby.

The envoy was also given a tour of the arms pavilion, which includes seven Saudi companies representing over 55 international brands.

Matias also met Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Tamim bin Majid Al-Dossary in Riyadh to review bilateral relations and issues of common interest.

Several other diplomats have visited the ongoing exhibition in Malham, including Japanese Ambassador Fumio Iwai and South Korean Ambassador Park Joon-yong.
