KSrelief performs sight-saving operations in Morocco
  • Noor Saudi Volunteer Program reviews 1,600 patients as part of help for low-income families

RABAT: The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid is performing cataract removal operations in the Moroccan city of Taroudant as part of its Noor Saudi Volunteer Program, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The program, which was launched last week in Chichaoua in Morocco, aims to combat blindness and illnesses leading to eye disorders. 

In the past two days, the center’s volunteer medical team reviewed 1,600 patients, distributed 926 eyeglasses and performed 247 successful cataract removal operations. 

The campaign, which helps low-income families in several countries, and is also operating in the Eritrean capital Asmara.
