Egypt offers condolences over Iraq landslide

CAIRO: Egypt has offered its condolences to the families of the victims of a landslide in the Iraqi governorate of Karbala, which resulted in seven deaths and six injuries.

“The Egyptian government and people affirm their full solidarity with Iraq in this tragic incident,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Egypt expressed its hope for the success of ongoing efforts to rescue those stranded. It also expressed its wish for a speedy recovery for all those injured.
