RIYADH: Saudi authorities seized 732,010 amphetamine tablets and arrested two people in Riyadh in connection with the find, a spokesman for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control revealed on Wednesday.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that two Syrian nationals – a male resident and a woman who was in the country on a visit visa – were detained after the drugs were discovered, Maj. Mohammed Al-Nujaidi said.

The pair were referred to the Public Prosecution, he added.
