Saudi Arabia reached the semifinals of the 2022 West Asian Junior Volleyball Championship on Thursday night, after defeating the UAE by three sets to one at Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Sports City Hall in Qatif.

The young Falcons took the first set 25-18, before the UAE levelled the match with a score of 25-22 in the second. The Saudi team confirmed their superiority by taking the third set 25-15 and the fourth 25-8 to win the match 3-1.

Saudi Arabia will now meet Iraq in the semifinals on Friday evening.

Iraq reached the semifinals with a 3-0 victory of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-21 over Kuwait.

Bahrain also confirmed progress to the last four with a straight sets victory of 25–22, 25–9 and 25–22 over Syria.

In the second semifinal, the Bahrainis will meet Lebanon, who defeated Palestine 3-2, with 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 27-29 and 16-14, in the quarterfinals.
