RIYADH: Saudi Arabia beat Palestine 3-1 on Sunday night to consolidate their top position in Group B of the 2022 West Asian Junior Volleyball Championship taking place in Qatif.

The win (25-15, 25-12, 23-25, 25-22) at Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Sports City Hall was the Falcons’ third victory of the tournament, giving them a maximum of nine points at the top of the table.

In Sunday’s other matches, Syria defeated Kuwait 3-2, Lebanon beat the UAE 3-0 and Iraq overcame Jordan 3-0.

Monday’s fixtures will see Lebanon take on Jordan and the UAE face Bahrain in Group A, while Kuwait clash with Qatar, and Syria meet Palestine in Group B.
