Qatar Airways has showcased a FIFA World Cup branded plane at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, the Qatar News Agency reported.
Thousands of people at the UK event have toured the aircraft.
Qatar Airways said the championship logo was hand-painted on the aircraft to commemorate the carrier's partnership with FIFA, which was announced in November 2020.
The CEO of Qatar Airways Group Akbar Al-Baker said the company's involvement with the aircraft confirmed the country’s readiness to host the event in November.
Qatar Airways has been the official airline partner of the CONCACAF championship since 2021.
Football bodies and federations such as the South American football federation CONMEBOL and FIFA are among Qatar Airways' global sports partnerships.
It has sponsored some of the world's most famous football clubs: Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern Munich. It also has partnerships in other sports such as equestrianism, kitesurfing, padel, and tennis.
Qatar Airways is at Farnborough for the first time in two years, following a cancellation due to COVID-19.
It is also showcasing its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and luxury Gulfstream G650ER at the event.
