Health centers in Mina ready to serve pilgrims during Hajj

MINA: The Ministry of Health has confirmed the readiness of four hospitals and 26 health centers to serve pilgrims in Mina during the Hajj season.

The ministry explained that the health facilities provide all preventive, curative and emergency services to pilgrims through specialized and qualified cadres using advanced medical equipment.

The Emergency Hospital has a capacity of 190 beds, including 12 beds for emergencies and 34 beds for intensive care. The Mina Al-Jisr Hospital has a capacity of 150 beds, 36 of which have been allocated for emergencies and 28 for intensive care. The Mina Al-Wadi Hospital has a capacity of 160 beds, with 24 for emergencies and 25 for intensive care. Lastly, the Mina Street Hospital has a capacity of 50 beds, including 13 emergency beds and 16 intensive care beds.

These health facilities are supported by a fleet of ambulances, consisting of 100 small and 75 large ambulances, to handle emergency cases.

Meanwhile, hospitals and health centers in Madinah have provided more than 37,000 medical services for pilgrims, including 21 cardiac catheterization operations, 67 dialysis sessions and 31,205 vaccinations.

The authorities also carried out 27 field awareness tours, providing 68 electronic awareness bulletins for pilgrims in several languages, with 38,073 pilgrims benefitting from these services.
