JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia is hosting an Innovation Driven Desalination conference with an aim to secure climate-change resilient water supplies on a global scale.
Organized by The Saudi Saline Water Conversion Corporation, or SWCC, and the International Desalination Association, IDA, the conference will discuss the latest innovation trends in the industry.
“ Saudi Arabia took a leadership role in implementing desalination technology back in the early 70s, and it has been a living laboratory for desalination, for which the entire world and the industry had looked toward,” Shannon McCarthy, secretary general of IDA, said at an exclusive interview with Arab News.
The event will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah between May 30 - June 1, 2022, where delegates will engage in 10 sessions with 30 technical presentations by world-class speakers from over a dozen countries and five continents.
