JEDDAH: The King Salman Park Foundation has announced the start of construction work on the Royal Art Complex, on an area exceeding 500,000 square meters, to offer visitors a distinctive experience in the new cultural and creative hub.
The design for the complex is inspired by the Salmani architectural style, blending originality with modernity and reflecting the rich local identity of Riyadh.
The complex will provide a memorable experience for visitors by embracing various cultural aspects of ancient and contemporary art.
It has a museum that will be one of the most prominent and tallest architectural monuments in the complex - with a height of up to 106 meters - and will include a library, workshops, an institute with three different academies, and a 600-seat hall.
Artists will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in an exhibition at the Dome.

The National Theater will have a 2,300-seat capacity, and there will be a medium-capacity theater with 650 seats. Three cinemas are also being built.
King Salman Park will give Riyadh residents and visitors cultural, sports, artistic, and recreational options.
It will contribute to achieving one of the most important goals of Vision 2030 through the creation of a vibrant community whose members enjoy a healthy lifestyle and a positive, attractive, and happy environment, in addition to enhancing Riyadh’s global ranking to become one of the best and most livable cities in the world.
The park sits in an area of over 16 square kilometers and is in a pivotal location as it is connected to the city's most important roads and transport hubs.
King Salman launched the park project in 2019 to become the “green lung” of the capital and the largest city park in the world.
The park is easily accessible and is set to become a global center for culture, arts, and nature.
It will provide extensive green spaces, sports facilities, and distinctive cultural and entertainment venues, including the Royal Art Complex.
