JEDDAH: Saudi Islamic Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh met with Sheikh Naim Ternava, grand mufti and head of the Islamic Sheikhdom in the Republic of Kosovo, and his accompanying delegation, in Jeddah.
The minister highlighted the efforts made by Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims around the world, caring for the Two Holy Mosques, spreading tolerance and combating extremism and hate.
Sheikh Ternava extended his congratulations to King Salman after he left the hospital following medical tests, treatment and a recovery period.
The grand mufti highlighted the historical importance of the Kingdom to Kosovo and the assistance that helped its people overcome crises, commending the efforts of the Saudi leadership.
He also referred to the constructive cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the service of Islam, implementing Ramadan programs that served the country’s people and spreading the value of moderation.
Saudi Arabia aims to boost the relationship between Muslim communities around the world. In February, Al-Asheikh met the grand mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, on the sidelines of his official visit to Cairo. They discussed a number of issues of common interest, especially those related to intensifying efforts to spread the Islamic religion’s tolerance.
