“Men in Black: International,” directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, is the fourth movie in the “Men in Black” series and serves a standalone sequel set in the same universe as the previous films. It featured on the Saudi Netflix top 10 for four weeks in a row, three of them during Ramadan.
It is the first film in the franchise, which is loosely based on the Malibu/Marvel comic book series of the same name by Lowell Cunningham, that does not feature Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones as the main characters.
The Men in Black face their biggest threat so far: a mole within the agency. It begins when young Molly Wright helps an alien escape and sees MIB agents erase her parents’ memories of the extraterrestrial encounter, a process known as “neuralyzation.” Molly is also neuralyzed but the process does not work on her. Twenty-three years later, rejected by government agencies because of her “delusions” about aliens, Molly discovers an alien landing site and follows the MIB agents who deal with it back to their headquarters in New York.
