RIYADH: The Saudi main index, also known as TASI, and parallel market, Nomu, both edged higher on Thursday.
At the closing bell, TASI was up 0.66 percent, while Nomu rose 1.17 percent.
As Ramadan has ended, the exchange will be closed until May 8.
Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Co. rose 9.96 percent to lead the gainers.
Among other stocks that ended the week in positive territory, Amana Insurance was up 9.86 percent, while Elm Co. rose 6.92 percent.
ACWA Power led the fallers, down 2.35 percent at the end of Thursday's trading session.
Aramco, the largest player in the Saudi oil market, rose 1.24 percent today.
In the banking sector, Alinma Bank was up 0.12 percent, while Al Rajhi bank was down 1.34 percent.
In the food and beverage sector, Almarai Co. was up 1.36 percent.
Oil prices edged slightly up today. As of 3.40 p.m Saudi time, Brent crude was priced at $105.00 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate was at $101.90 a barrel.
