RIYADH: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Nigeria, has begun implementing the program for iftar in the Republic of Benin. The Ramadan food baskets targeted 24,000 beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the ministry, through the Saudi Embassy in Uganda, launched two programs to distribute dates and help people break their fast. The event was held under the supervision of the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Uganda Jamal bin Mohammed Al-Madani and in the presence of a number of Ugandan Islamic figures. The programs target nearly 1,000 fasting people, and distribute about 7 tons of dates, in addition to a number of integrated food baskets that cover all the families’ food requirements.
