RIYADH: Shares in Banque Saudi Fransi fell by 1.8 percent to close at SR54 ($14.4) on Sunday despite posting a 12 percent increase in quarterly profit.
The bank's net profit increased to SR875 million ($233 million) from SR780 million in the same period a year ago, according to a bourse filing.
BSF attributed the profit hike to an increase of 3 percent in total operating income.
It added that the improved results were due to higher net trading income, exchange income, and special commission income, which were partially offset by lower net fee and commission income.
