Rashed Sharif has been the CEO and a member of the board of directors of SNB Capital since February 2021.
He was formerly a member of the bank’s executive committee and vice chairman of the board.
Before joining SNB, Sharif was head of the local holding investments division at the Public Investment Fund from 2017 to 2020. He was also a member of the PIF management committee and management investments committee.
Prior to joining the PIF, Sharif was CEO of Riyadh Capital, a closed joint-stock company operated by Riyad Bank, and from 2006 to 2013 served as head of the listing department at the Capital Market Authority.
Also in 2006, Sharif worked as consumer finance relationship manager at the newly established Al-Bilad Bank, where he played a prominent role in establishing its consumer finance policies and procedures.
Earlier in his career, Sharif worked at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, a government entity that specializes in providing loans to the manufacturing industry.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Prince Sultan University in Riyadh and a bachelor’s degree in finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.
He also participated in the Chase Manhattan Bank Credit Program and the Corporate Finance Modular Program at the London Business School, and is certified in the International Institute for Management Development’s prestigious High Performance Leaders and High Performance Boards programs.
Sharif has served as a board member at numerous companies, including some of the Kingdom’s most prestigious, including Saudi Electricity Co., Saudi Telecom Co. and Saudi Basic Industries Corp.
