LONDON: Jordan’s King Abdullah returned home on Tuesday after undergoing a successful operation for a slipped disc in Germany, the royal palace said.
Upon entering the kingdom’s airspace, the king’s plane was escorted by fighter planes belonging to the Royal Air Force, state news agency reported.
He was accompanied by Queen Rania.
King Abdullah was flown 10 days ago to a specialist hospital in Frankfurt after suffering severe back pain that required urgent surgery, doctors said.
