IsDB signs $390m financing agreements for Senegal’s infrastructure development

RIYADH: The Islamic Development Bank has signed four financing agreements worth a total of $390 million to build development infrastructure for the Senegalese economy.

The agreements were signed by the bank’s president Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser and Senegal’s minister of economy, planning and cooperation, Amadou Hott, according to a tweet. 

The deals include the financing of Louga-Gandon, the 41 kilometers leg of the Dakar-Saint Louis Highway project, for 238 million euros. 

Others are for the second phase of Diamniadio–AIBD Airport of the Regional Express Train for 100 million euros, and the construction of a Waqf Complex real estate project for $20 million. 

Both parties have reiterated their commitment to further cooperation.
