Exhibitors participating in the recently concluded 49th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show 2022 said that the event represents a regional platform to showcase their latest gold designs, while achieving high revenues and sales that exceeded their expectations.

The show, which ran from March 23-27, saw an impressive turnout of merchants and visitors to get the most out of the exclusive offers and learn about the finest jewelry and hottest trends in gold and diamonds.

Spread across 30,000 square meters, the event enabled visitors to meet the who’s who of the jewelry industry from across the world.

More than 300 local and international jewelry companies took part in this year’s edition.

Organized by Expo Centre Sharjah, the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show 2022 also provided an opportunity for visitors to meet the Lebanese megastar Najwa Karam, the event’s guest of honor, in addition to Emirati composer Fayez Al-Saeed, the “Ambassador of Melody,” and a number of social media celebrities.

“The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is playing a key role in revitalizing the gold trade and industry both locally and regionally. It also supports workers in this sector and enables designers and SME owners to display their products and encourages them to enter the labor market to gain new experiences,” said Saif Mohammed Al-Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

Aisha Rashid, jewelry designer and owner of Arqa — an Emirati fine jewelry brand, said: “This is my debut at the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show. It was such a fruitful participation, given the impressive turnout of visitors.”

Monig Butani of Butani Jewellery said: “What spurred us to participate for the first time in the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show is its outstanding reputation at the global level, as well as the massive turnout of visitors the event is witnessing.”

Carlomar Cali of Luca Carati — an Italian jewelry brand — said his company has been taking part in the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show for many years because of its reputation and the wonderful opportunity it offers to brands to showcase their latest products and exclusive designs.

Deslina Lupi of the Istanboli Giueli jewelry brand said: “My company’s collection features handcrafted designs, inspired by the Italian heritage, mixed with modern touches to satisfy different tastes of visitors.”

Since the show was first launched back in 1993, it has grown to be an indispensable part of the jewelry industry and the flagship event of Expo Centre Sharjah.
