RIYADH: Saudi-based mining firm Amak recorded a 122 percent profit hike in 2021, after making a strong debut on Saudi Arabia’s main stock index a day earlier.
The company reported a SR197 million ($57 million) in profit, compared to SR88 million the same period last year, it said in a filing.
Performance was mainly boosted by the opening of a new goldmine, which led to 176 percent more gold sales.
At the closing bell of Wednesday, shares of Amak climbed 2.81 percent at SR84.20.
