TASI flat again, oil prices bounce back: Opening bell

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's main index TASI opened flat yet again as investors continue to monitor the situation in Eastern Europe and as oil price volatility continued.

As of Wednesday 10:06 a.m. Saudi time, both TASI and the parallel market, Nomu, started trading flat at 13,093 and 25,021, respectively.

Oil prices were on the rise again, with Brent crude up $2.43, trading at $112.66 a barrel, and WTI crude up $2.64, at $106.88, as of 10:14 a.m. Saudi time.

Leading the gainers was Almasane Alkobra Mining Co., known as Amak, up 7.20 percent, while leading the fallers was Allied Cooperative Insurance Group, fell 8.38 percent.

Saudi Aramco shares opened flat in early trading, while National Petrochemical Co. dropped 1.35 percent.

BinDawood Holding Co.’s share price fell 2 percent after its net profit for 2021 fell 46 percent to SR240 million ($64 million).

Aldawaa Medical Services Co. edged downward by 0.13 percent, after recording a 3 percent drop in net profit to SR239 million in 2021.

Among the banks, Alinma Bank edged down 0.26 percent, while the Kingdom’s largest valued bank Al Rajhi remained unchanged.

The National Company for Glass Industries, or Zoujaj, rose 0.73 percent after reporting that it had made SR51.1 million in profits in 2021.
