RIYADH: Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks with US envoy for Iran Robert Malley on the sidelines of the 20th Doha Forum, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said on Saturday.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the US on the Iranian nuclear issue and the ongoing international negotiations.
The two sides also discussed intensifying joint efforts to address Iranian violations of international agreements and treaties, and the importance of strengthening joint action to stop Iranian support for terrorist militias that threaten the security of and stability in the Middle East and the world.
Also on Saturday, Prince Faisal made a phone call to his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss ways to strengthen coordination and bilateral work in many regional and international issues, especially promoting security and stability in the Middle East, and both countries’ efforts to lay the foundations for regional and international peace.
Earlier on Saturday, the Saudi minister also held talks with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi on the sidelines of the forum.
