RIYADH: New cases of coronavirus recorded in Saudi Arabia fell below the 500 mark for the first time since December on Wednesday, with the Kingdom recording 476 new infections.
Of the new cases, 140 were recorded in Riyadh, 45 in Jeddah, and 26 in Dammam. Several other cities recorded less than 20 new cases each.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 725,107 after 719 more patients recovered from the virus.
A total of 9,002 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far, including a death that was reported on Wednesday.
Over 61.1 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
