LONDON: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, UAE minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, on Saturday discussed during a telephone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the bilateral strategic relations and ways of strengthen joint cooperation.
The two ministers also reviewed the latest regional and global developments, Emirati state news agency WAM reported.
Sheikh Abdulla “affirmed the depth of UAE-US’s strategic ties and the continuous cooperation and coordination between the two countries for expanding prospects of joint cooperation in various fields,” WAM said.
Blinken spoke about “Russia’s premeditated, unprovoked, and unjustified attack against Ukraine and the importance of building a strong international response to support Ukrainian sovereignty through the UN Security Council,” the US State Department said.
Sheikh Abdullah also held a similar call with his British counterpart Liz Truss, to discuss relations and reviewed a series of international issues of common interest.
