RIYADH: The UAE has no plans to introduce income tax for now, the country’s minister of state for foreign trade told Bloomberg.

“It is not at the table at all now,” said Thani Al-Zeyoudi.

The statement comes on the heels of an announcement of a 9 percent corporation tax on businesses in the UAE effective June 2023.

The new levy is going to replace most of the fees companies now have to pay, Al-Zeyoudi was quoted as saying in the local media.
