MADINAH: Sixty startup companies from around the world will take part in the Startup Investment Forum from Feb. 21 to 23 at King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah.
The three-day forum provides international startups with the opportunity to expand their business in the Saudi market and meet Saudi investors.
The forum, which will bring together companies from Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Poland, Georgia, Greece, the UK and the US, will include workshops provided by senior executives from several entities in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
The Kingdom believes in the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in driving economic growth. And as part of the objectives of its Vision 2030, it is supporting SMEs by providing them with suitable investment opportunities.
Recently, the Madinah Regional Development Authority organized the Smart Madinah Forum, which targets smart cities and opportunities to improve quality of life and ensure sustainability.
A group of specialists from around the world took part in the forum’s sessions to review the experiences of global smart cities, discuss challenges faced by residents and visitors in Madinah, and ways to apply the concept of smart cities to address those challenges.
