KSrelief continues aid work in Yemen, Afghanistan

TAIZ: The prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation center in the Taiz governorate of Yemen has continued to provide medical services for Yemenis through the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

The center provided 1,374 services for 620 beneficiaries in one month, including the manufacturing, fitting and maintenance of prosthetic limbs for 363 patients.

The center also provided other treatments for 257 patients, including physical therapy and consultation sessions.

The services come as part of the Kingdom’s efforts, represented by KSrelief, to improve the capacities of the health sector in Yemen.

Al-Jada Health Center outlets in the Hajjah governorate also provided treatment to 3,101 people in one week with the support of KSrelief.

The clinics include the epidemiology clinic, emergency clinic, internal medicine clinic, children’s clinic, reproductive health clinic, nutritional therapy clinic, immunization clinic, awareness and education clinic, and surgery and surgical dressing department.

Meanwhile, the center distributed food and shelter aid to the neediest families in Afghanistan.

KSrelief teams distributed more than 5 tons of aid, including 600 winter bags and 1,200 blankets in the Zabul province, benefiting hundreds of families.

The aid comes as a part of the Saudi relief land bridge dispatched by KSrelief to support Afghans.
