SHABWA: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is continuing to distribute winter aid in Yemeni governorates, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

It recently distributed 350 winter bags in Shabwa, benefiting 2,135 people. KSrelief teams also distributed 728 winter bags in Marib, benefiting 4,804 people.

It comes within the framework of efforts by Saudi Arabia, represented by the center, to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis during the winter.

KSrelief trucks crossed Al-Wadiah Crossing Point during the period from Jan. 2 to 23, carrying 57,297 cartons of dates, 2,681 food baskets, 480 shelter bags, and 480 tents.

The aid will be distributed to the governorates of Aden, Marib, Taiz, Hadramaut, Hajjah, Al-Dhale, Socotra and Shabwa.

In the Chadian city of Moundou, KSrelief continued its voluntary medical campaign to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it, in cooperation with Al-Basar International Foundation.

During the second and third days of the campaign, the team examined 1,347 people, performed 104 surgeries, and distributed 223 pairs of glasses.

This campaign comes within the projects related to combating blindness which are being implemented by Saudi Arabia in many countries.
