Taha Fahssi, known professionally as ElGrandeToto, is a 25-year-old Moroccan rapper from Casablanca. As of 2021, he is the most listened-to Arab artist on Spotify, with more than 135 million streams in 178 countries.
One of the biggest hip-hop and rap artists in the MENA region, ElGrandeToto started his musical career in 2016 and released his first hit song, “Pablo,” in 2017. His music is heavily inspired by the streets of Morocco where he grew up.
ElGrandeToto deliver his lines in various languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French and Arabic, saying that certain words sound better in different languages, which helps the songs attract an international audience.
