Ghanem Al-Ghanem is managing director and head of investment management advisory services at Jadwa Investments, where he started as an associate in October 2016.
Al-Ghanem’s responsibilities include providing investment management advisory services to local and regional institutional investors, with total assets under management and advisory of more than SR21 billion.
His objective is to institutionalize clients’ investment management practices and create investment strategies that are capable of achieving clients’ long-term goals in a sustainable manner through open architecture solutions.
Before joining Jadwa, Al-Ghanem served as an investment analyst in the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, now the Saudi Central Bank, where he was part of the team that developed analytical capabilities and oversaw overall asset allocation.
Al-Ghanem also served as a financial risk management adviser at KPMG Saudi Arabia and completed his associate internship at HSBC Global Asset Management, London, UK.
Furthermore, he is an active part-time instructor with various entities (Fullbridge, Alfaisal University, among others) and teaches topics related to financial modeling, risk management and CFA level-one exam preparation courses.
From 2016 to 2018, he was an active board member in the CFA Society Saudi Arabia, before chairing the board of the society from 2018 to 2020.
He also participated as a consultant for the CFA Institute to assist in developing and refining the institute’s strategy. In addition, he is a board member, audit committee, and risk committee member at Saudi Pak Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company.
Al-Ghanem earned his bachelor’s degree in quantitative methods from King Saud University, and two master’s degrees (MBA and a master’s degree in finance) from Drexel University, US.
He is also a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute, financial risk manager from GARP and holds an advanced certification in portfolio management from New York University, US.
