RIYADH: Saudi Islamic Minister Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh received the grand mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein Kavazovic, in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Kavazovic and his accompanying delegates are currently on an official visit to the Kingdom to participate in the King Faisal International Prize ceremony.
Al-Asheikh voiced his ministry’s keenness to realize the directives of the leadership in supporting the Islamic sheikhdom and all its works to serve moderate Islam and spread tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
For his part, Kavazovic expressed his deep appreciation for the great support accorded by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also praised the recent visit of Al-Asheikh to the Balkan country, during which an executive program of joint Islamic action was signed, which will serve the Muslims of Bosnia and the region.
The grand mufti reiterated the Islamic sheikhdom’s eagerness to deepen communication and cooperation with the ministry and leverage its experience in spreading moderation and tolerance.
