Nabila Awad is a journalist and news anchor at MTV Lebanon. As a second runner-up for Miss Lebanon 2010, Awad proved that being in the running for a beauty contest did not determine her future and career.
Following the contest, Awad refused to be reduced only to her looks and was determined to prove herself as a serious journalist and TV personality. As such, she pursued a master’s degree in journalism from the Lebanese University.
Awad’s passion for journalism and media opened many doors for her. Having earned a degree in journalism, Awad began her media career as a TV presenter for LBC’s “Helwa Al Hayat” lifestyle program.
She later worked as a reporter for Kuwait TV from Beirut and was also a TV presenter for the program “Hayda Haki” on MTV. Her impressive work at MTV earned her a position as an anchor for the channel’s political segment, which she excelled at.
After her breakthrough role in MTV, Awad moved briefly to Sky News Arabia and anchored their political segment. However, she eventually returned to MTV Lebanon where she is currently the main face of the news and presenter of the popular show “Sarro Meyeh.”
