RIYADH: Saudi Shoura Council Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh on Tuesday received in Riyadh the head of the US mission to the Kingdom, Martina Strong, along with other American Embassy officials.
During a reception, Strong was briefed on the role played by the Shoura Council in the Kingdom’s legislative system, its working mechanisms, and diplomatic links at regional and international levels.
A number of issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting along with ways to boost cooperation and communication between the Shoura Council and the US Congress.
