Mariam Barghouti is a Palestinian-American writer, blogger, researcher, activist, commentator and journalist based in Ramallah.
Barghouti has worked as a journalist and reporter focusing on the Levant, and published various socio-political commentaries from Palestine.
She has undertaken monitoring and evaluation missions of humanitarian and development aid in various Middle Eastern countries, namely Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon for governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Barghouti’s reporting has been featured in Al-Jazeera English, the New York Times, the Guardian, the BBC, and Middle East Eye, amongst other international newspapers.
As a prominent activist for Palestinian rights, Barghouti advanced her cause through storytelling and writing. Her activism has raised global awareness about the realities faced by Palestinians under Israeli rule.
