LuLu Hypermarket Saudi Arabia unveils ace deals from Great Outback at Australia Week shopping festival

Australia Week opened on Nov. 24 at Lulu Hypermarket, where acting Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Peter Doyle inaugurated the shopping festival that will run until Nov. 30.

“I’m quite overwhelmed at the quality the Variety and the effort to which everybody has gone to but very things together,” said Doyle.

On special promotional sale at extraordinary special prices will be all that Australia is famous for — from succulent meat to fresh foods, cupboard essentials, speciality range, and much more. There will also be six new food brands from Australia that will make their shelf debut during the festival.

As the Australian meat industry is a leading exporter of prime cuts of meat to Saudi Arabia, LuLu has imported a total of 128 tons of juicy cuts of Australian meat. An amazing variety of fruits and vegetables and dairy products – especially cheeses, butter and milk will be on the spotlight too. Frozen foods such as oriental vegetable mix, berries and prepared meat snacks, will join speciality foods like organic honey, chia seeds, alongside side a wide selection of chocolates, bakery items and biscuits to tempt shoppers.

“The Australian food industry contributes a healthy export income to the national GDP and we have particularly close ties with Saudi Arabia – in fact the Australian Meat & Livestock Association has planned a campaign to boost exports to Saudi Arabia in the coming months. Also love the way that you are encouraging your customers here to try new products and as we just saw a lot of more the modern sustainable healthy options as well which Australia produce so well,”  said Doyle.

“This Australian Week at LuLu is a great way for lovers of hearty Aussie food ingredients to experiment with the finest foods from Down Under,” he added.

LuLu Hypermarkets Saudi Arabia director Shehim Mohammed said the festival was part of the Hypermarket’s successful efforts to cater to all nationalities. “With our global network of sourcing offices and state-of-the-art warehousing and logistics support, LuLu Hypermarket is in a great position to showcase some of the amazing food cultures of the world.

“With cooler weather and new health awareness, the time is right to try some of the choicest cuts of Aussie meat, amazing fruits and vegetables and a wide range of cheeses and dairy products bursting with goodness and taste,” said Mohammed.
