Almarai is a Saudi multinational dairy company which specializes in food and beverage manufacturing and distribution. The company’s main offices are located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Currently listed on the Tadawul stock exchange, Almarai started off when there was little infrastructure for the production and sale of milk in Saudi Arabia. Over the years, the company progressed rapidly, announcing in 2016 that it would acquire land in the US to expand farming operations.
In 2011, Almarai said it would be invest heavily in Saudi Arabia to increase dairy production and would be create 12,000 jobs over the next five years.
By 2014, the company controlled 44 percent of the dairy market in the Arabian Gulf region.
Almarai has been among the 10 most popular brands in Saudi Arabia since 2016, according to the YouGov BrandIndex score, topping the Best Brand list in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
