Dr. Mohammed Saeed Aldossary has been director general of the general directorate of research and studies at the Saudi Ministry of Health since November.
He has also been a representative of the ministry to the International Association for Dental Research since February 2020.
Aldossary, born 1981, started his career as a dentist in Riyadh. In 2014, he became a specialist in pediatric dentistry in the Ministry of Health’s dental complex, located in the south of the capital.
From 2014 to 2019, he served as a part-time clinical instructor at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s College of Dentistry in Riyadh. For seven years, beginning in 2014, he also worked as a part-timer clinical instructor at Riyadh Elm University’s dentistry college. From 2009 to 2011, he headed the dental department at Al-Iman General Hospital in Riyadh.
From 2016 to 2019, Aldossary directed the Ministry of Health’s dental complex in the south of Riyadh. He was also supervisor of research and studies at the ministry’s dentistry general directorate from February 2020 to October 2021.
Aldossary has over 40 research publications to his name. He has supervised numerous research projects at master’s degree level, has received certificates for attending various courses on research methodology and statistics, and has spoken at several relevant conferences and professional gatherings.
He received his bachelor’s degree in dental sciences and oral surgery from King Saud University in 2005. Nine years later he obtained a master’s degree in clinical dentistry, with a focus on pediatric dentistry, from the Edinburgh Dental Institute of the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
