Cleaning campaign launched in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province

DAMMAM: The National Center for Environmental Compliance is launching the “Shariyatuna Anqa” (Our Eastern Province is Cleaner) campaign for environmental control and to carry out a survey of all activities and facilities along the Kingdom’s east coast.
More than 80 environmental inspectors from the national center branches, several other relevant authorities and volunteers will participate for more than two weeks.
The campaign includes awareness exhibitions at Dammam corniche, Alkhobar and Al-Fanateer in Al-Jubail Industrial City, as well as competitions for youngsters under the banner of “Color Your Environment” to promote environmental awareness among children and ensure the sustainability of ecological work in the future.
The campaign aims to carry out a comprehensive environmental survey of the eastern coast and control all sources of discharge
of untreated water by determining them, classifying the drainage sites with accurate digital coordinates, and monitoring all violations of the environment and facilities according to the environment code and its executive regulations.
