Who’s Who: Nouf Al-Fares, GM at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services

Nouf Al-Fares has been the general manager of revenue generation and institutional innovation at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services since October. She has also been an adviser to the assistant minister at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services since July.
Prior to that, Al-Fares was the head of business development at Takamol Holding from July 2020.
Al-Fares started her career in investment banking as an asset management officer at Osool and Bakheet Investment Co., before moving to Alkhair Capital to work as a financial analyst from June 2013 to January 2015.
In 2016, Al-Fares obtained a master’s degree from Indiana University with a specialization in finance and marketing. Earlier, in 2013, she gained a bachelor’s degree in finance from King Saud University.
Following her master’s degree, Al-Fares decided to shift her career and she worked as a project manager at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce from November 2015 to December 2016.
Afterward, she joined the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority team to establish and set up the authority. She joined as a marketing and communication specialist, initiating and leading the first Biban Forum in 2017, which went on to become a trademark in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Following Biban’s huge success, Al-Fares was promoted to be manager of entrepreneurial support from February 2017 to March 2018, when she developed various programs that support Saudi entrepreneurs.
She also worked at Endeavor Saudi Arabia as a growth manager to help Saudi entrepreneurs scale their business locally and internationally. She helped many successful businesses, including HungerStation, Mrsool, Whites and Jahez, from July 2018 to March 2020.
